SUMMARY:Adult Hand Building Clay Class
DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of hand building pottery using the slab technique\, which allows a wide range of shape\, form and texture. Lancaster Art Room has added two potters wheels for students to use. \nThis class is for both beginners and the seasoned clay artist. Each week instruction will be given on different skills and assistance in developing individual projects. Each participant will receive 20 pounds of clay to work with\, and choice of a variety of glazes\, which should make 5-6 projects depending on the size of each project. SUMMARY:Adult Oil Painting-Landscape
DESCRIPTION:This oil painting class is a landscape painting class and will explore the basics of oil painting techniques.  As a beginner you will be taught the skills necessary to paint a landscape picture. As a seasoned painter\, this class will give you the opportunity to learn from a different instructor and enjoy the company of other students in relaxed atmosphere. If you are repeating the class\, feel free to explore a different subject matter for the class. Bring your ideas and pictures with you to the first class. \nThis class is designed to help students execute a landscape of their choosing\, focusing on composition\, perspective\, color mixing\, and painting techniques. Students will use photographs or prints as source material for their painting. Each student will provide at least one picture to work from. Bring a few if you can not decide. The picture could be a photograph or calendar picture of a landscape. If you bring a picture\, from your phone\, book or internet\, please print it out to an 8 x 10 in color.  Group and individual instruction is given during each session. Because we are moving to a eight week session\, students could do two paintings. \nAll art materials are included in the cost of this class. Each student will be provided with one – two canvases\, (9 x12 or 10 x 10).
